Theoretical
Orientation
A good therapist needs to be aware of each client's
style and get a clear perception of what modality would best fit
him/her to attain their treatment goal. However, in order for the
treatment to be successful, the modality chosen also needs to fit
the therapist. Therefore, there should be a match. A client must
feel comfortable with their therapist in order to obtain the best
benefits and a genuine and professional therapist should also inform
their client if they do not feel like they are the right person to
treat them.
"I always check in with my clients along
their treatment to make certain that the comfort level remains satisfactory.
Like with any other relationship, communication goes both ways and your
feedback is always welcomed."
